Naïve Perceptions is a memoir about what it means to grow up learning to read the room instead of trusting yourself—and the cost of carrying that skill into adulthood.

Raised in an unpredictable environment, I learned early how to adapt, achieve, and stay one step ahead of instability. From childhood experiences shaped by confusion and silence to adulthood defined by striving, control, and the pursuit of approval, this story traces the patterns that quietly shaped my life.

As a teacher, coach, and parent, I built a life that looked stable from the outside. Inside, I was still operating from old wiring—overworking, overgiving, and searching for safety in the wrong places.

This memoir follows the unraveling of those patterns and the slow, deliberate process of rebuilding something different—grounded not in performance, but in truth.

Naïve Perceptions is ultimately a story about awareness, boundaries, and the quiet shift from surviving to living.
